We know that 11 and 5 are both prime numbers as they have no other factors other than 1 and the number itself:

11=11×1

5=5×1

Hence, their HCF will be 1.

HCF(11,5)=1

since, 11 and 5 both are prime numbers which are divisible by 1 and number itself.

so they have highest common factor as 1.

                 so hcf of 11 and 5 is 1
