Prime factors of

30=2×3×5

42=2×3×7

Here, 2 and 3 are the common factors. So,

HCF(30,42)=2×3=6

Answer: 6

3. 5. 3. 7

5. 1. 7. 1

30 = 2 X 3 X 5. 42 = 2 X 3 X 7

HCF = 2X3 = 6
