30 min=30×60=1800s

H=I^2Rt

=25×5×1800

=225000J

Answer:

The heat produce in an electric coil is 6.75 × 10⁵ Joule.

Explanation:

  • The relationship between heat produced by electric current flowing through a conductor is shown by the joule's heat law.
  • Joule's law is a mathematical explanation of the rate at which resistance in a circuit turns electric energy into heat energy.

            H = I² Rt

Given:

Resistance in the coil, R = 15Ω

Current in the coil, I = 5A

Time, t = 30 mins

         t = 30 × 60 sec

         t = 1800 sec

We know that,

The amount of heat produced, H = I² Rt  (∵ from Joule's heating law)

H = (5)² × 15 × 1800 Joule

H = 675000 Joule

H = 6.75 × 10⁵ Joule

∴The heat produce in an electric coil is 6.75 × 10⁵ Joule.
