The number system came into habits as soon as man started using signs language which is the first language used by man kind.

It was not only used to count but also note the changes that’s been happening around them like, day and night, seaons, new moon and full moon, even for child birth, etc,

Yet still the recorded usage of number system gets back to a long history of some oldest civilizations like,

Incas who used number system without any specific written language.

Egyptians who even used fractions for their enchancement of civilization. They also used symbols for decimal values upto the order of seven.

Mayans who used power factors which was much forward-thinking than any other at that time.

Greek numeric structure dates back to 900BC, where they used diverse greek alphabet for different values.

Around 1800BC, the Babylonian numeric structure weas well developed such as the Pythagorean formulae.

All those were symbols representing numbers were hard to recogonise across the world, the present day number system actually orginated from the Hindu numeric system. It was from 11AD and until it developed into a perfect form in 1522AD.
