Answer:

Hybridisation (or hybridization) is a process of mathematically combining two or more atomic orbitals from the same atom to form an entirely new orbital different from its components and hence being called as a hybrid orbital.

CH5+ has three 2C-2e bond and one 3C-2e bond. It is formed by addition of H2 to CH3 cation. CH3 cation has one vacant p-orbital and two H-atoms donate one electron and forms 3C-2e bond. The main dispute is that we can't talk about hybridization in CH5+ because concept of hybridization is given by Valence Bond Theory(VBT) but structure of CH5+ can't explained by VBT.

But there are three 2C-2e bonds which can be explained by VBT. So Hybridization of CH5+ is sp2 & shape is Trigonal bipyramidal(TBP).
