The compound is Ethene.

Here we have two elements :-

Carbon and Hydrogen.

Atomic Number of carbon is 6

so,Configuration will be :-

1s² 2s² 2p²

So,

For degeneration,

one electron from 2s will move to the empty orbital of 2p

so,

we get four degenerated orbitals.

\rule{200}{3}

Now, Likewise we get total two carbons in such excited state which intermix with each other as well.

The hybridisation will be

Carbon 1 = sp²

Carbon 2= sp²

Refer the above attachment for diagram of hybridisation.
