Let ABC is a right angled triangle in which B=90° ,

AC (hypotenuse) = 8 cm. , AB = BC = x cm (let).

AB^2+BC^2 = AC^2

x^2+x^2 = 8^2

2x^2 = 64

x^2= 64/2=32

x = 4.2^1/2 cm.

Perimeter = {8 +4.(2)^1/2+4.(2)^1/2}

= {8+8.(2)^1/2}

=8(1+2^1/2) cm.

Area =( base×altitude)/2= (4.2^1/2×4.2^1/2)/2 = 16sq.cm. Answer.

Answer:

let two sides =x

hypotenuse=1.41x

perimeter=x+x+1.41x=8cm

3.41x=8cm

x=8/3.41=2.34cm

hypotenuse=1.41X2.34cm=3.299cm
