Jet streams are the narrow belts of winds in troposphere.
It has an impact on India's climate. The Western cyclonic disturbances experienced in north are brought by a flow and this flow effects the environment.

jet stream are a narrow belt of high altitude winds in the troposphere . Jet stream are air currents found in the tropopause which is the transition between troposphere and stratosphere
1. Streams are of air that flow horizontally through the upper layers of the troposphere from west to east direction. These are westerly flows which blow south of the Himalayas , all through the year except in summer
2. The western cyclonic disturbance experienced in the north and north western parts of the country are brought in by this westerly flow . In summer, the subtropical westerly jet stream moves north of the Himalayas with the apparent movement of the sun.
hope its helpful
