Each and every dance is important, but yes classical dance plays it's own role. It is not only the beauty of quietness of beauty, power and attraction to achieve divine power through it.

In South India, especially Tamilnadu the classical dance form bharatanatyam involved as a temple dance. The chola rulers patronised this dance, it is a beautiful form of dance and required precise hand and foot movements along with expressions rendered through eyes and lips, it is the oldest dance form of India .The costume used in this dance is coloured and rich.
