The term biogeochemical tells us about the biological, geological and chemical factors. the circulation of chemical nutrients like carbon, oxygen, water, phosphorus, calcium and nitrogen etc... through the biological and physical world are known a biogeochemical cycles.

Importance of different biogeochemical cycles in the nature:

Nutrients travel through the biological system in biogeochemical cycles. A biogeochemical cycle is a pathway by which a substance component, (for example, carbon or nitrogen) circles through the biotic (living) and the abiotic (non-living) elements of an environment.

The components that travel through the variables of a biological system are not lost however are rather reused or gathered in spots called reservoirs where they can be held for more time.
