What is the importance of dispersal of seeds​

Seeds are of immense biological and economic importance. They contain high protein, starch and oil reserves that help in the early stages of growth and development in a plant. These reserves are what make many cereals and legumes major food sources for a large proportion of the world's inhabitants.

Dispersal of seed is important as if seeds germinate near to parent plants it will increase a lot of competition for air, water, and food as well.

If competition increases it will lead to the death of the species and dispersal also leads to exposure to a new environment that helps in adaptation and evolution.
