DNA copying is most important for reproduction. additional copies of DNA are made during replication which is necessary for new cell from after cell division . in other words.

there are no two parents so all offspring have same DNA that of the parent .All offspring in asexual reproduction are identical between each other as parent. This is a sense produces clone and is not best for the evolution unless sudden mutation occur something which is very rare.
