DNA Is a Most Important Thing For Reproduction and Specially Sexual Reproduction.
The Purpose Of Reproduction Is To Duplicate The DNA Of One (Asexual) or Two (Sexual) Individuals.
It Is Simply Duplicating Its DNA, And So in Fact, Reproduction Is DNA’s Method For Duplicating.
Cell replication is the process of going from one cell to two cells. Since the original single cell had only one set of DNA, it needs to copy it so that both resulting cells have the DNA they need to survive. Reproduction of multicellular organisms is essentially a lot of cell replications, followed by differentiation of those cells

DNA contains the master-plan and complex mechanism which make the new cells function.  DNA copying is essential for reproduction, as it transfers character and other information of parents to the new cell.

Sometimes changes are also created during reproduction, which leads to evolution. Any aberration during reproduction, where the DNA copying does not happen correctly, can result in abnormalities or disabilities in the offspring.
