Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) is a specialized discipline that studies and implements the safety at work and protection of environment practically. The organization/employer must make sure that the work place is safe for its employees and doesn't damage the environment. EHS involves organized efforts in identifying the workplace hazards and eliminating them (health and safety) and systematic approach to comply with environmental regulations (environment).
In short, EHS makes sure that the employees and the community is safe in and around the workplace.
