Many freedom fighters were ready to sacrifice their lives for India's Independence. Leaders like Mahatma Gandhi opposed strongly against the British and started up many movements like the Non-Cooperation Movement, the Salt March, the Civil Disobedience Movement, the Quit India Movement and more. On the Independence Day we feel proud of our nation and its freedom fighters and how it was freed like a bird from the evil hands of the British. This is the importance of the Indian Independence.
