It acts as an independent and impartial umpire between the central government and stategovernments as well as among the states.

judiciary is a very important part in federal system as it plays a crucial role in check n balance system.
this is different from legislature and executive form as it looks upon their working n prohibits them from doing any wrong things .
it protects our fundamental rights also.
