Answer:

The hierarchical progression of levels of biological organization corresponds to and results from the history of the development of living organisms. The accepted view of the origin of life maintains that life evolved from organic molecules which were formed independently of living organisms.

Answer:

    IMPORTANCE OF BIOLOGICAL ORGANISATION

  • Organizational levels are structures in nature generally defined by part-whole relationships, where things at higher levels consist of things at the next lower level. Typical levels of organization found in the literature include the atomic, molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, organism, group, population, community, ecosystem, landscape, and biosphere level.
  • References to levels of organization and associated hierarchical representations of nature are prominent in the life sciences and  their philosophical studies, appearing not only in introductory textbooks and lectures but also in cutting-edge research articles and reviews. In philosophy, too, ongoing discussions such as reduction, emergence, mechanistic explanation, interdisciplinary relationships, natural selection and many other topics are essentially based on the term.
  • However, despite the ubiquity of the term, levels of organization have received little explicit attention in biology or its philosophy. They mostly appear in the background as an implicit conceptual framework linked to vague intuitions. Attempts to provide general and generally applicable definitions of organizational levels have not been widely accepted. In recent years, various authors have proposed localized and minimalistic descriptions of planes, and others have questioned the usefulness of the term as a whole.
