Maharashtra produced great kings like Chatrapati Shivaji, Gurus like Sant Tukaram,Sant Dnyaneshwar, leaders like Bala Gangadhar Tilak, social reformers like Phule. Movie personalities like Dada Shaheb Phalke, V. Shantaram, Lata Mangeshkar, Gavaskar & Sachin.
