Micro-propagation is an in vitro technique for the production of plantlet from explant in a suitable nutrient medium under controlled aseptic conditions. It provides uniform productivity, freedom from diseases, vigorous growth and high yield, India with its vast area and wide range of climatic and soil conditions enable the cultivation of an array of horticulture crops, floricultural crops, spices, medicinal crops and aromatic plants.
