What is the importance of monuments to you as a student of history

since monuments tell us the artitechture and art of acnient period also inscriptions are written in the pillars which gives historians, epigraphist and numistatics a better understanding of that period.

Monuments have always been an example or an idol for me to study. Monuments are the resemblance of a country' s pride and so being a citizen of such beautiful country I as a student feel proud.
Every monument has some history behind it and this always encourages me to know more about my country through the history of this monument.
Hence as a student monuments really are important in my life.
