What is the importance of Newton’s law of gravitation? According to Newton’s
law of gravitation, the apple and the earth experience equal and opposite forces
due to gravitation. But it is the apple that falls towards the earth and not vice –
versa. Why?

Because the mass of the earth is greater than the apple nd the mass of the apple is negligible in comparison to the mass of the earth

According to Newton's Laws of Gravitation.. for each and every force there's an equal and opposite force acting on it. But the forces of attraction due to gravity are not same, as the Mass of the gigantic Earth is Million times more than the mass of the apple
