Lord venkateswara - tirumala is situated in Andhra pradesh. Brahmotsavam was celebrated first by Brahma, the son of Vishnu. so, the custom is continued till now. The nine days brahmotsavam is very important festival in Tirumala. According to Varaha purana, Brahmotsavam is performed in the month of Asweeja, when the Sun is in Kanya rasi. This year two Brahmostavams will be celebrated due to adhika masa. one from SEPT 16 - 24, and another one is from OCT 14 - 2
