Let take the first: If you only consider the human being as a producto o material evolution (Big Band, Darwin, etc.) there is no importance… humans, actually, are a step in the evolution… next step may be good or bad, build up on qualities, destroy them.
The second: If you consider that humans are spiritual beings incarnated in physical bodies, then humans are the most important piece of the living world.
On the other hand, if you just like to do small talk about humans in this world… we still are the most important to each other.
