The important of PH scale is that it is used for measuring hydrogen ion concentration in a solution which will test the property of a solution that weather the solution is acidic or basic.

pH is measure of the acidic and basic nature of a solution.(concentration of a hydrogen ion [H+] activity in a solution determines the pH )  the pH scale ranges from 0 to 14.
