What is the importance of photolysis of water during photosynthesis in plants?

Explanation:

Photolysis of water is a important part of the process of photosynthesis. Because we know that energy currency which is used in plants is NADPH(Nictinamide Adenine Diphosphate ; hydrogen) and ATP but from where the hydrogen of NADPH comes. It is gained by the photolysis of water into hydrogen ions and oxygen. NADPH losses its Hydrogen during the carbon fixation to generate the Glucose(C6H12O6). It returns gains it hydrogen and this cycle occurs.
