What is the importance of proteins in silk fibre?

Answer:

Silk fiber is composed fibroin and sericin. Sericin is the binding liquid which binds the solid fibre (fibroin) . They are made up of different amino acids in Which Glycine,Alanine,Serine have the highest compositions.
