The Baoli was constructed by Iltutmish in 12 th century A.D. for the Qutubuddin Bakhtiyar Kaki. The Baoli is named after Qutb Sahib who had held high esteem and has been highly regarded for centuries, as he was the disciple and spiritual successor of Khwaja Mu'inu'd Din Chishti of Ajmer.
