Answer:
Apart from a good soil, suitable for a good seed and skills of the farmer to grow the crop and protect it, water is a pre-requisite and rain is the source. Underground water sources (well / bore well), river, tank etc are all dependent on rain to reinforce and there are rainfed crops, which depend entirely on rain. Plantation crops like coffee and tea, totally depend on rain. Coffee needs “Blossom Showers” to flower and then yield berries.
A good balance of rain and proper irrigation can lead to faster-growing plants, which can cut down on germination time and the length between seeding and harvest. The crops are dependent on water during their entire lifecycle in order to survive and thrive
The use of agricultural water makes it possible to grow fruits and vegetables and raise livestock, which is a main part of our diet. Agricultural water is used for irrigation, pesticide and fertilizer applications , crop cooling (for example, light irrigation), and frost control.
