◆Humus content is less in laterile soil.Since, it is less nutrient soil and less productive in nature.
It can be fertile by using chemical fertilizers, and humus as well.
◆Laterite soils lack humus because of the increased and rapid bacterial activity in the high temperature zones, they consume organic matter which is further required to add to the soil to increase productivity.
