→Standard Meridian is useful for a country because it shows and fixes a particular time for the countries. A country may have many longitudes in between and there is a time gap of 4 minutes between each longitude.

→here are some points which shows importance of standard meridian of India:

1. standard meridian account equal time for all over the country.

2. it cancels the conclusion of time gap between two regions which are far apart from each other.
