- Hydrogen ion, potassium ion and other ions are secreted by tubules.
# Importance of tubular secretion -
- Tubular secretion removes excretion of potassium.
- It acts as buffer to maintain pH of the blood.

Importance of tubular secretion:
- 'Tubular secretion' is the process of transportation of materials from 'peritubular capillaries' to the 'renal tubular lumen' which can be seen in the process of reabsorption.
- The secretion is caused mainly by active transport and passive diffusion. By this process, the blood is filtered to produce a clear liquid.
- Hence tubular secretion is most important and has to be maintained normal for normal blood filtration process and the normal excretion process.
