Winnowing is an ancient traditional agricultural method used to separate the husk from grains.
-->Before storing the grain, first farmer will go for threshing where grains will be separated from chaff.
---> Next step is winnowing. Where the farmer will separate grain from husk.
---> Usually, the mixture of husk and grain is made to fall from a greater height . wind will carry lighter particles and heavier particles will settle at bottom.
Hence by winnowing , we are able to separate:
1. Unwanted impurities like husk from grains.
