Ozone is the Earth’s natural process for all life forms. It shields our planet from the UV radiations, as these ultraviolet rays are harmful for all the living things. Therefore, any change in the size of this layer will automatically affect the life of people, plants and animals living on earth

Answer:
The Ozone (O3)is an isotope of oxygen. It exist in the so-called Ozone layer at a height of about 15- 60 km in the stratosphere.
Ozone Layer blocks the shortwave ultraviolet radiation wavelength that passes through it. This property give it an important function in protecting the biosphere.
If the Ozone Layer were not present then the ionizing ultraviolet rays would destroy most of all the life on earth. Increased ultraviolet radiation can lead to skin cancer, cataracts, immune deficiency, decrease crop yields and reduced populations of phytoplanktons e.t.c .
