Interference of lights is a phenomenon in which light from two or more sources superimpose, resulting in a potentially much greater wave of higher amplitude.

In order for the interference to occur, the sources of light should emit waves of the same wavelength and should have phase coherence i.e. sources of light should be close enough to each other.
