What is the IP Trend in period(explain according to Modern Periodic Table).​

I.P. increases along the period which is a character of non-metals of being high I.P. Since along the period nuclear attraction on outer electron increases along the period or from left to right.

Important Note:-

1. Helium has highest whereas caesium has lowest I.P.

2. Metal loose electron easily or more electropositive in nature so have low I.P.

3. But Non metal is the least electropositive or is high electronegative that's why they have high I.P.
