(iii) How the British came to dominate and rule the land, subjugating the local Nawabs & Rajas. In all institutional agencies essential documents are maintained. In the early years of the 19th century, calligraphers – those who were specialized in the art of fine writing – have carefully copied & written these documents. As printing became prevalent, several copies of those records were printed as proceeding  each govt department in the mid 19th century.

(v) Official records: Documents including people's diaries, pilgrim and traveler accounts, essential autobiographies, and famous booklets are other than official records. Printing was adopted and journals written and  issues debated . To spread their thoughts, prominent leaders and reformers, writers and novelists composed to convey their feelings. But history can not be clarified by these sources concerning how the tribes & peasants , the mill workers or the needy lived on the streets.

(vi) Surveys: The practice of surveying became common under the colonial administration. Detailed studies were carried out to map the whole country by the beginning of the 19th century. The topography, the quality of the soil, the fauna, the fauna, the local history and the crop patterns were surveyed in villages. Each tenth year after the end of the 19th century, the Census operations created accurate statistics, documenting castes, sects and the occupations of the population in all the provinces of India. Many other studies-botanical, zoological, archaeological, antropological, forest, etc.-have been conducted
