The answer above is unfortunately incorrect as they eliminated the power of 3.

Here is the correct method:

Formula: Kinetic Energy (K.E.) = 1/2 mv2

K.E. = 1/2 8x3²

3² = 9

9 x 8 = 72

1/2 of 72 = 36

So the Kinetic Energy = 36 :)

The answer is 36J

GIVEN

Mass of Penguine 8 kg that is running at a speed of 3 m/s?

TO FIND

Kinetic energy.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

Given;

Mass = 8 kg

Speed = 3 m/s .

Applying the formula to calculate kinetic energy

K(E) = (1/2)mv²

Where,

m = mass

v = speed

Putting the values in the above formula we get;

K(E) = (1/2)× 8 × 3²

= 36J

Hence, The answer is 36J
