The last digit would be 7 because

7^1=7

7^2=9(last digit)

7^3=3(last digit)

7^4=1(last digit)

and when you keep on going you can see that the last digits are always 7, 9, 3 or 1 depending on the remainder after division of 4 on the power. 2017/4 has the remainder of 1 (because 2016 ends with ‘16’ which is divisible by 4) so the last digit would be 7
