The wide latitudinal extent of India from 8°4'N to 37°6'N has ample of advantages.The significant two advantages are stated below:
Firstly, the wide latitudinal extension of nearly 30 degrees results into wide variation in the climates. The southern part of India receives more sunlight than northern part which results into diversity of flora and fauna in our country. For example: In north we get tea, apples, dry fruits and medicinal plants etc. similarly from the south we get cotton, spices, mangoes and coffee etc.
Secondly, it helps in receiving monsoon from the southern part of India which lies in the warm tropical zone and from the northern part, the snow veiled Himalayas lying in the cool temperate zone is the source of perennial rivers to solve the problem of the water scarcity in the northern India.

They affect the climate of the coastal area with the onshore winds .... There are basically 6 factors affecting India's climate . Latitude = due to curvature of the earth , the amount of solar energy received is different according to the latitudes
