Anti plastic campaigns are against the use of plastic bags. Plastic bags are handed at every marketplace for everything be it food, clothes or products.
Plastic takes years to degrade and so harms the nature. When the plastic bags are thrown in dumps, street animals may consume them and they get choked. This leads to death. Even human babies may swallow plastic and die.
Plastic does not Allow air, sunlight or plastic to pass through it. If thrown on place where there is lot of greenery.. They might affect the plants where they are dumped.
When plastic is burned, it releases dangerous chemicals such as hydrochloric acid, sulfur dioxide, dioxins, furans and heavy metals, as well as particulates. These causes respiratory diseases and are carcinogenic (cancer causing) in nature.
