law of conservation of energy means that energy can neither be created nor be destroyed
when a simple pendulum goes up its height increases so it acquires PE and the KE becomes zero and when it comes back its PE becomes zero and it consists only KE.
so by above we can say that the energy only changes its form and can not be destroyed
