What you give is what is passed on
E.g. Take two balls place on top of other.
hold in your hand and drop it. the force of the ball below is passed to the one above , conservation of momentum.

Conservation of momentum says velocity before collision is equal to the velocity after collision. M1u1+m2u2=m1v1+m2v2
