Since LCM is the product of prime numbers with maximum power in a given set of numbers.
Therefore in given set of numbers we find
there are two prime numbers that are q* and 3.
Therefore maximum power of 3 is 2
q is 2
Thereby multiplying 9 (i.e 3²) and q² we get LCM(q², 3q, 9) i.e 9q².
* - here q is taken to be a prime number since it is a variable ( of which the value is not available ) and thus we can't factorise it .
Hope I Made it clear...
