here is the answer.......................

first let us find square root of the 1385

√1385 = 37.215..................

let us round off it to the before number

=>  37.215.................. = 37

now

37  × 37 = 1369

final step is

east number that should be subtracted from 1385 to get a perfect square = 1385 - 1369  

=> 16

hence 16 is east number that should be subtracted from 1385 to get a perfect square

=> 1385 -16 = 1369

√1369 = 37
