What is the least number which should be added to 1330 to make it a perfect square?

divide 1330 by 36 give reminder as 34
(36*36)+34=1330 the quotient is 36
36-34=2 we need to add 2 to 1330
,so that 36 completely divides 1332

The least number which should be added to 1330 to make it a perfect square.

Solution:

Take square for 1330 

From the figure given below,          

Take square root of 1330 leaves a remainder 34 where 36 is the quotient

Hence the number is near to 36, therefore

(36)^{2}=1296, the next number to 36 is 37

(37)^{2}=1369, which is greater than 1330

1369- 1330 = 39.

Hence 39 must be added to 1330 to make it a perfect square.
