Answer:

perimeter of rectangle= 2(l+b)

area of rectangle          =(l*b)

ATQ⇒

  • 2(l+b)=60
  •  l+b  =\frac{60}{2}
  • l+b  =  30
  •   l  =   30-b .....(1)

now

  • l*b=900      ......(2)

substitute {  "l=30-b" } in (2)

(30-b)b =900

30b-b² = 900

  • by rearranging; we have

b²-30b+900 = 0

now by   { (-b)±\sqrt{(b*b)-4ac} }÷ 2a

we have {-(-30)±\sqrt{30*30-4*1*900} }÷ 2*1

     = (30 ±\sqrt{2700} )÷ 2

  • by solving further we have

≈ (30±52)÷2

    (30+52)÷2                                    (30-52)÷2

   =  82 ÷ 2                                         = -22 ÷ 2

   =41                                                  =  (-11)

so the values are 41 and -11
