Correct Question ✔

What is the length and breadth of rectangle, if its perimeter 80cm and length is 5cm more than breadth?

Reason : Because Cuboid has three dimensions ( length breadth and height) but only two dimensions are given in question which is possible in rectangle.

and If 80 is its area then the dimensions would be irrational i.e. under root.

Answer

Let breadth = x cm

Length = x+5 cm

Perimeter = 80cm

2(l+b)=80

2(x+x+5)=80

2x+5 = 40

2x = 35

x=17.5

Also

x+5 = 22.5

Thus

Length = 22.5 cm

Breadth = 17.5 cm

\huge\sf{Answer:-}

Let x be the breadth

Let x + 5 be the length

80cm² is the area

 = 2...(length + breadth)...=80 \\ </p><p> = 2...(x+x+5)...=80 \\ </p><p> = 2x+5=40 \\ </p><p> = 2x=35 \\ </p><p> = x=17.5 cm

Hence

(x+5= 17.5+5) = length

Therefore, 22.5 is the length and x = 17.5 is the breadth.
