What is the length of arc of a sector, whose perimeter is 64.8cm and radius is 12.4 cm?

Given : perimeter of arc  is 64.8cm and radius is 12.4 cm

To find :  length of arc of  sector

Solution:

Perimeter of an arc

= radius + arc length + radius

Perimeter of arc = 64.8 cm

radius = 12.4 cm

=> 64.8  = 12.4 + arc length + 12.4

=> 64.8  = 24.8 + arc length

=>  arc length  = 40 cm

Additional info

Arc angle  = α

then  (α /360 ) 2π (12.4) = 40

=> α = 184.8°

Angle of  sector = 184.8°
