What is the length of DNA that wraps around the Histone complex? Is it constant? Also, is there any difference between the DNA twist in DNA found in nucleosome versus the DNA found outside nucleosome?

Answer: DNA has sugar phosphate backbone and nitrogenous bases hang inwards in the double stranded chain of DNA. The number of base pairs is what defines the length of DNA molecule. A DNA molecule is 2.24 metre long when talked about entire structure in the cell. When we talk about length of DNA that is wrapped around histone complex, it is about 200 base pairs. That would mean that one nucleosome contains about 20 turns of DNA helix. Properties of DNA don't change, whether you wrap it around histone or not.
