The angle of rectangle is 90°.
Consider the diagonally half rectangle as a right angled triangle. By theorem of Pythagaras,
(Diagonal)^2=(30)^2+(40)^2=900+1600=2500.
Hence diagonal=50cm.

by Pythagoras theorem ;
AC²=AB²+BC²
AC²= 30²+40²
AC²=900+1600
AC²=2500CM
AC=√2500 CM
AC=50
AC²=AB²+BC²
AC²= 30²+40²
AC²=900+1600
AC²=2500CM
AC=√2500 CM
AC=50
